University Entrance and Careers
Careers advice and consultation on university entrance are an important feature of the sixth form, enabling students to reach considered and realistic decisions about higher education and their future beyond. University is the destination of the majority, although a number go to art, music or drama colleges or undertake vocational training in areas such as health or management. Information about the higher education placements of recent sixth form leavers is available upon request.
The Principal takes overall responsibility for all applications to universities and colleges, including Oxford and Cambridge. Senior staff and course tutors offer detailed advice to students and an annual careers convention provides the opportunity to meet representatives from higher education and the professions.
