2006 Cricket
Third Eleven 2006

This season the 3rd XI played two and lost two!  Lest this should seem to be becoming a habit, mention should be made of the skill with which some of our team attempted to stave off defeat.

Against Haberdashers Askes we lost, being bowled out for 136 while Haberdashers lost only 4 wickets in overhauling our score.  Nevertheless Sam Franklin helped us to save face with a heartening score of 63.  Tommy Sheldrick also distinguished himself, deftly taking 3 wickets.

Against St Albans it was not such a close match, the opponents reaching 190 for 4, whilst Berkhamsted were all out for 120.  Our captain Rory Twogood took two wickets and Adam Nickless deserves mention for his splendid catch.  Alas, our batting let us down with only South Holden sparing our blushes with a score of 46.
