On Sunday 31st January 16 members of the Berkhamsted School Boat Club travelled to Quintin Boat Club to row on the Thames.
Split into two eights stroked by Archie Wood and Nick Sidwell respectively the oarsmen enjoyed a training paddle with two very experienced Quintin coxswains.
Nearing the end of the outing the two boats squared off and held a race. Each rower performed exceptionally well given for many it was their first time in an eight on such an open body of water.
The crew of Archie Wood, Andew Wilson, Mo Senior, Amy Ertan, Ed Cousins, James Sidwell, Dan Hodgkinson and Ben Kent held off a fast start by Nick Sidwell's boat and proved victorious. Special thanks must go to Quintin Boat Club for their support of this event.
