Alice Hewson

Golfer Alice Hewson (Year 8) achieved a fantastic third place in the recent English Schools' Golf Association National Championships, held at John O'Gaunt Golf Club on 21 June 2010. 

During the half term, Alice had represented Hertfordshire Schools in the South East of England Regional Championships scratch competition of 36 holes at Eaton Golf Club in Norwich. She was the youngest player selected by a couple of years. She played two rounds, one of 8 over par and the other 6 over par.

At the end of the Regional Championships she finished in sixth place, which qualified her to play in the National final at John O'Gaunt, where she finished third.

This is a great achievement for Alice, well done!
