Our Aims

The Friends Committee

The Friends of Berkhamsted School is an association of parents and staff committed to supporting the school. All parents are automatically members and others with close links to the School may be invited to join.

We organise events for the whole school, primarily of a social nature, including balls, quizzes, demonstrations and the ever popular Burns' Nights. The main fundraising event is the bi-annual Michaelmas Fair.

Funds raised as a result of the events are offered across the school for the purchase of luxury items that would not normally be covered by departmental budgets.

The Friends’ Committee consists of representative parents from each house in the Senior School who link with year group representatives; the Junior Committee comprises form representatives and other willing parents. Year and form group committee members help put parents in touch with each other by organising social events and organising the distribution of telephone lists.
