1st XI v UCS 10/05/08 Won by 125 runs Finally some cricketing weather! On a hard wicket with still enough grass on it to interest the bowlers we batted first and raced to 1 for 95 off just 15 overs. The loss of two quick wickets and some controlled spin bowling slowed the run rate as Peter Dunning and Tom Sambrook provided stability to the middle order each scoring half centuries. At the 40 over mark we finished on 6 for 227. Possibly 30 runs short of what we should have achieved. We started well with the ball, reducing UCS to 6 for 35 off 19 overs and effectively wrapping up the game. Lyndon Ryan returned figures of 3 for 8 and man of the match Dunning took 4 for 13 as we bowled them out for 109. A much improved performance! The Bishop's Stortford High School 17/5/08 Congratulations to Sam Masters
who scored 101 for the U12AXI cricket side versus The Bishop's Stortford High School on 17th May.

We bowled first and once again made an impressive start with Christian King picking up both openers before the score reached 20. Lyndon Ryan bowled very well at the other end and was unlucky not to have a handful of wickets himself. In came Keith Dutch (former Middlesex/Somerset batsman) who proceeded to hit a very good 110 not out. Hopefully our players were able to learn a lot about their own game by watching the way he went about his innings. In the end the MCC declared 5 for 199 with Tom Sambrook picking up 3 late wickets.
