Friday 29th February was a most auspicious day for Berkhamsted.  The new Chadwick Centre was formally opened by the Chief Executive of The Royal Academy of Arts, Charles Saumarez Smith, CBE. Distinguished guests included the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Mayors of Dacorum and Berkhamsted, governors, staff, alumni and friends of the School.  As an architectural historian, Dr Saumarez Smith was greatly impressed with the pupils’ art work, the architectural design and the quality of the dining facilities: Architecture Today even published a special feature on this new exciting building.
