The season started and finished well with convincing victories against Bishop’s Stortford and Enfield Grammar.  Unfortunately, the team found it difficult to maintain any consistency through the middle part of the season despite some excellent individual performances.  Particular mention must be given to Nick Beaver’s bowling which improved significantly through the season; culminating in an impressive haul of 7 wickets for only 6 runs in the last 2 games.  Jake Collins, Tobias Cunliffe and Joseph Iddison also impressed with the bat at various points of the season, although the basic concept of building an innings sadly eluded most of the team members.  Final thanks should go to William Budd and Joseph Iddison, who both captained the side competently and who provided requisite stiff upper lips when the chips were down.
