where he played as a midfielder before moving to Berkhamsted Raiders. After winning the Chelsea Goalkeepers Camp trophy for the best goalkeeper across all age groups at 9, Jonathan moved from midfield to goalkeeper for the Raiders.
At 10, while playing for Raiders, he was scouted by Watford FC and began playing for Watford Academy. At 12 he signed for an additional 4 years with Watford often 'playing up' as much as two age groups. Now Jonathan plays predominantly for his own age group U16's, occasionally as the reserve keeper for the U18's.
Jonathan has represented Watford in the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland for the last two years and has also played in two Nike Cup Tournaments in Warwickshire.
Most recently he was selected to play for the Welsh National side and has thus far played four matches against France, Republic of Ireland, and twice against Northern Ireland. He is hoping to be called up for the upcoming Victory Shield matches against England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Last week, Jonathan signed a two-year Scholarship contract with Watford FC which will begin next season. He will be training at London Colney with the First Team on a daily basis while studying for his A-levels in the afternoons.
